Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed enhancing economic and trade relations with the city of Tangier in Morocco, in a meeting held recently with a delegation representing the different economic sectors and services, headed by Mohammad Al Bashir Mahdi, who represented the Chairman of the Tangier Province Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, on the sidelines of the Industrial Arbitration Forum hosted recently by Sharjah emirate.
The meeting was attended by HE Abdullah Al Oweis, Chairman, HE Mohammad Al Shehi, board member, HE Khaled Al Hajeri, Director General, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Director of Economic Relations and Marketing, and Humaid Al Muala, human resources expert.
The two sides discussed the means to develop mutual relations, cooperation and coordination in economic fields with huge potential and high competitiveness on both sides, in order to achieve a competitive edge in the major sectors that underpin economic growth in both cities.
The Moroccan delegation expressed interest in the divers expertise accumulated by Sharjah emirate in the different sectors including industry, commerce and business services, as Sharjah enjoys a diversified economy and an advanced stature among the promising cities in the region that have shown great potential in the journey to economic growth.
In his address Al Oweis welcomed the visiting delegation and stressed the brotherly relations that bind the UAE and the Kingdom of Morocco and reaffirmed that economic and commercial integration have become key components of the economies that aspire to take advantage of opportunities across the globe, and he assured the attendees that Sharjah Chamber is open to cooperate fully with the business community in Tangier, in order to achieve the mutual objectives and interests.
