The SCCI won first place in the 14th edition of "Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work" for 2016, as part of the "best government entity in the field of voluntary work" category, in appreciation for its efforts. Sharjah Chamber contributed to more than 143 voluntary works last year worth more than US $ 5.17 million. In regard to this, the SCCI has increased its contribution to societal responsibility by organizing, sponsoring and supporting activities and events of economic, national, humanitarian, educational and cultural significance, in addition to sports, health, the media

SCCI and the ISO

Not immediately recognisable as a Health & Well Being Initiative, however the working environment and the reduction of stress in the workplace is of key importance to us hence our adoption of the key ISO standards. By meeting 9001 standards, we formalise our systems and help to reduce employee stress; by meeting 14001 and 18001 we ensure we are maximising the quality of life and our environmental impact for our staff and visitors.
